We cannot stress enough the importance on ensuring that your goods are properly insured on a door to door basis. Carriers, be it airlines, shipping lines, trailer operators or rail organisations have limited liability clauses in their contracts of carriage. These limits are unlikely to meet the cost of replacing goods in the rare occasions that goods are lost or damaged in transit.
